The stars fade, the nightshade, closing makes the world afraid.

 얼마전 아무생각없이 보던 케이블에서 몇번째 틀어주는 반지제왕1편에 그 누구더라, 꼬맹이를 구하며 도망가던 엘프아가씨가 살수대첩 흉내를 내는 장면을 보니 다시 확실히 떠오른 애니메이션이다.

 

  무척이나 오래전에 봤던 것으로 공중파에서 오후시간에 방영된 흔치않은 애니메이션. 첫번째는 아마 낮에 했던 것으로 기억되고, 나중에는 2부작인가로 나누어서 토요일 저녁 7시정도에 방영했었던 듯...(거꾸로인가?)

  홀로 남아 동료를 찾아 인간이 된 유니콘이 동료들을 구하고 다시 유니콘으로 돌아간다는 이야기.... 그 와중에 유니콘들을 감금시킨 자의 아들과 사랑에 빠지고, 그로 인해 고민하고 갈등하고.....

  아마 기억에 많이 남은 이유는 바다거품 속에서 빠져나오던 유니콘떼의 모습이 워낙 특이한 것이었고, 분위기 자체가 무척이나 유별났기 때문일 것이다. (분위기만 기억함;;;)

  두번째로 보면서 주변 인물들을 더 살필 수 있게 되었고, 참으로 참으로 안특별난 유니콘의 친구들에게 좀 더 관심을 가질 수가 있었다.

 

 세번째인지 두번째인지 방영할 때 비디오로 떠 놓고, 얼마전에 인터넷에서 구하기도 했지만, 다시 볼 용기가 나지 않는 것은 그만큼 쉽게 보며 즐길 내용은 안된다는 것이겠지.ㅡㅡ

 

 뭐, 요즘 판타지들에선 음흉한 악당으로 많이 나오지만, 영화 자체에선 선한자만이 볼 수 있는 존재인 유니콘. 그 환상적이었던 모습이 지금 보면 상당히 아닌 것을 보면-세월이 흐르긴 했나보다. 츱....
